About me

Hi there, my name is Hermeline and I love to communicate–whether that is in the form of writing, songwriting and singing.  But, music and I have a unique relationship. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love music. There were plenty of times when I doubted whether I could actually sing or write songs. But there was never a time when I thought I could live without music. It keeps my heart alive. It makes me smile. It puts my life in perspective. Thus, music is my creative flow and keeps me going in good and bad times.

I was born on the beautiful island of Haiti and lived in a city called St. Marc for most of my adolescent years.  I was born with another half, my identical twin sister (Moline) who never fails to remind me she is the oldest by just a few minutes. I also have a younger brother (Jephte) who inspires me daily because of our common passion for music. My brother blessed our family with my niece (Naya) and nephew (Josh).  I am thankful to my mom and dad, Jocelyne and Manes, for imparted faith, dedication and resilience in me. I currently live in the New York Metropolitan area. My life revolves around family, church, music, career, divine connections and friends.

In a nutshell, I am who I am – a fun-spirted, hardworking and creative individual who is reminded daily to rise above the status quo and live a portfolio life.

My life credos:

Heart 2 Heart: I love and care for people because none of our successes mean anything if we don’t make impressions on people’s hearts.

“Your Present circumstances don’t determine where you can go, they merely determine where you start.” I read this unknown authored quote in college. And it sticks with me because it is a representation of my family success. So I fight to live my professional and personal life in such a way.
